The 20 Year Plan

Initial Draft

I strive to become an intellectual giant. I must build a foundation in mathematics and computation; read classics in literature; become a polyglot; learn to draw; and learn music theory and composition. This outlines how I plan to fit all of that into a single lifetime.

It is mainly a list of books right now, but I plan to add dated milestones as I gain clarity. I welcome sage advice.

The CJ Gaconnet Manifesto

Two CJ Gaconnets exist. One lives in my mind’s eye and the other lives on Planet Earth. Inner CJ, in my mind’s eye, is a stand-up guy. He’s entirely altruistic and has exactly those characteristics he needs to succeed in his goals. Outer CJ, who exists by my actions, bears little resemblance to Inner CJ.

The two CJ Gaconnets typically ignore the other’s existence. Inner CJ wants Outer CJ to be like him, but Outer CJ remains indifferent. With each quantum of time that passes, Inner CJ and Outer CJ grow further apart. This manifesto is Inner CJ’s attempt to reach out and unite with Outer CJ. Each will sacrifice his weaknesses and develop his strengths as they reconcile their differences. If successful, the two will become indistinguishable, such as they must have existed at birth.
